As queer money makes up nearly 14 percent of U.S. disposable income, it means the queer community heavily influences the way America spends. It means, as a community, we can use our money to influence the national dialogue and enact positive change for the queer community. Our purchasing power is the reason we’ve seen an increase in marketing to the queer community. To build power and influence we must continue to drive decisions with our dollar. That shows up in various ways, how we invest our money, where we spend our money, and how we participate in traditional institutions. In this workshop we will play a game of trivia with financial concepts and issues specific to the queer community. Facilitated by Deja Foster, this interactive discussion focuses on need to know topics for the LGBTQ professional.
